For the purposes of this Article, the term "utility storage cabinets/accessory buildings," shall mean any outbuilding constructed for the purpose of storage or storing tools, equipment or lawnmowers and located on a residential lot.

A utility storage cabinet/accessory building shall have not less than fifteen (15) square feet of floor space nor more than one hundred (100) square feet of floor space.

Construction materials used for the sides and roof of a utility storage cabinet/accessory building shall be constructed of prefabricated metal, aluminum or a baked enamel finish, and shall be erected on a concrete floor or pressure-treated material, rodentproof, having a minimum thickness of three (3) inches. The cabinet shall be bolted to the base.

No utility storage cabinet/accessory building shall be erected closer than five (5) feet to the property line of the property or within ten (10) feet from any other building.

The Director of Public Services shall issue a permit for the construction of a utility storage cabinet/accessory building upon proper application and the submission of a diagram of the location of the placement of the cabinet. The fee for the permit shall be ten dollars ($10.00).

The owner or occupant of a residential lot shall not construct or install more than one (1) utility storage cabinet/accessory building on his/her residential lot. Such installation shall conform to all of the requirements of this Article.
