A.
The owner or occupant of a residential
or commercial building shall permanently display the numerical address
on the front of the residence or building. The front of the building
shall be the side facing the street or, if the entrance to the building
or residence does not face the street, then it shall be displayed
on the side of the building from which the majority of visitors or
customers would approach the entrance.
B.
The address for each residence shall be
a minimum of three (3) inches in height and a minimum of five (5)
feet above the threshold and shall be clearly visible from the street
during both daylight and dark hours.
C.
The address for commercial buildings shall
be a minimum of four (4) inches in height and shall be above the main
entry door and shall be clearly visible from the street during both
daylight and dark hours.
D.
The owner or occupants of buildings whose
address display does not conform with the height and visibility requirements
herein specified, shall bring said address display into compliance
with these requirements not later than August 1, 1992.

Upon notice from the Police Department or fire protection district of a violation of the requirements of Section 505.190, the Director of Public Services or his/her designee shall give the owner or occupant written notice of violation which shall specify the period of time, which shall be at least fifteen (15) days, for correction of the violation. Any person failing to cure such violation within the specified period shall be deemed in violation of the requirements hereof.

Upon conviction of a violation of this Article, the punishment shall be as set forth in Section 100.220 of this Code.
