Section 625.010 Use by Minors.

It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of seventeen (17) to use, play or manipulate in any manner whatsoever any video games, pinball machines, arcade-type amusements or similar electronic or mechanical devices within the City between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. on those days when school is in session, and between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. of the following day, except on Fridays and Saturdays when the hours shall be 12:00 Midnight to 6:00 A.M. of the following Saturday or Sunday, as the case may be; provided however, that the provisions of this Section shall not apply to a minor accompanied by his/her parent, guardian or other adult person having care and custody of the minor.

Section 625.020 Responsibility of Parents and Guardians.

It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of a minor under the age of seventeen (17) to knowingly permit (or to permit under such circumstances as by the exercise of reasonable care that such person should have known the whereabouts of such minor) such minor to violate the provisions of this Chapter.

Section 625.030 Responsibility of Persons Occupying Such Premises.

It shall be unlawful for any person having video games, pinball machines, arcade-type amusements or similar electronic or mechanical devices, upon premises occupied by him/her within the City to permit a minor under the age of seventeen (17) to use, play or manipulate same during the hours specified in Section 625.010 unless accompanied by his/her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor. It shall not be an adequate defense to show that such video games, pinball machines, arcade-type amusements or similar electronic or mechanical devices are played for amusement only.
