A. 
There is hereby created within the Borough of Buena the position of Municipal Clerk. The salary of the Clerk shall be as set forth in the current Salary Ordinance.[1]

B. 
There is hereby created within the Borough of Buena the position of Deputy Municipal Clerk for the purpose of providing assistance to the Municipal Clerk in performing the duties of said position, and for the further purpose of providing someone to assume said duties in the absence of the Municipal Clerk. The salary of the Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be as set forth in the current Salary Ordinance,[2] except that the Borough Council may set the initial salary by resolution until this new position is included within the Salary Ordinance.

C. 
The salaries to be paid to the Municipal Clerk and Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be in lieu of any and all fees of whatever nature.
A. 
It shall be the duty of the Borough Clerk to keep accurate minutes of the proceedings of the Council. When any motion or resolution shall have been passed by the Council and upon the publication of any ordinance, it shall be the duty of the Clerk to immediately furnish a certified copy of such motion, resolution or ordinance to each and every officer, department and member of a committee that may be affected thereby.
B. 
The Clerk shall read the minutes, reports, petitions and memorials and perform such other duties as may be required by law or assigned to him by ordinance of the Council.
C. 
The person appointed as Deputy Municipal Clerk shall work under the supervision of the Municipal Clerk and shall assist the Municipal Clerk in supervising and performing the specialized clerical duties required by said position. The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall share the responsibilities of the office as determined by the Municipal Clerk and, in the absence of the Municipal Clerk, shall assume all of the duties, responsibilities and authority of the Clerk's position as provided by law. The person appointed as Deputy Municipal Clerk shall perform such duties in the office of Municipal Clerk as may be assigned by the Municipal Clerk.
