Section 135.010 Board Established.

A Park and Recreation Board for the City of Camdenton shall be appointed by the Mayor of the City subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the Aldermen.

Section 135.020 Composition.

The Park and Recreation Board shall consist of eleven (11) members as follows: At least one (1) but no more than two (2) members of the Board of Aldermen with the rest of the committee being comprised of citizen members.

Section 135.030 Term.

The members of the Board shall serve for a term of five (5) years or until their successors are appointed and qualified.

Section 135.040 Staggered Terms.

The members of the Board first appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the terms of not more than two (2) of the members shall expire annually thereafter.

Section 135.050 Vacancy Filled — How.

Any vacancy on the Board shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as an original appointment.

Section 135.060 Compensation.

Members of the Board shall serve without pay.

Section 135.070 Organization.

Within fifteen (15) days after the organization of the Board, the Board shall meet and organize by selecting one (1) of their members as President and by the election of such other officers as they may deem necessary.

Section 135.080 Officers.

The Board shall further establish the duties of such officers and the method and times of electing their successors in office.

Section 135.090 Duties.

Subject to the approval of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the Board shall adopt and promulgate the rules and regulations for the conduct, administration and management of the public recreational system and shall further assist, advise and direct as deemed necessary the activities of any citizens groups or others in the promotion of the public recreational system.
