A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Building Inspector of the City of Neosho, Missouri, being marked and designated as "The International Property Maintenance Code, 2018 Edition," as published by the International Code Council be and is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the City of Neosho, Missouri, for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Property Maintenance Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 520.020 of this Chapter, except as otherwise provided by this Chapter.

A. 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Chapter or the provisions of the International Property Maintenance Code adopted in this Chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
B. 
In addition to the imposition of the penalties herein described, the Building Inspector is authorized to institute appropriate action to prevent unlawful construction or to restrain, correct or abate a violation; or to prevent illegal occupancy of a structure or premises; or to stop an illegal act, conduct of business or occupancy of a structure on or about any premises.
