As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
All general sales open to the public at periodic or irregular
intervals, conducted from or on residential premises for the purpose
of disposing of personal property. "Garage sales" shall include "lawn,"
"yard," "attic," "porch," "room," "back yard," "patio" sales, or other
like terms. This definition shall not include a situation where no
more than five (5) specific items are held out for sale and all advertisement
of such sale specifically names those items to be sold.

No individual shall hold more than three (3) garage sales during
any one (1) calendar year; this does not include the village-wide
garage sale, held yearly. The garage sales shall not last more than
three (3) days.
