A. 
The regular meeting time for the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, is hereby designated as the first (1st) and third (3rd) Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall, Riverside, Missouri; provided however, that if a regular meeting date falls on an election day scheduled pursuant to Chapter 115, RSMo., at which registered voters of the City of Riverside, Missouri, are allowed to vote, the regular meeting shall be held on the immediately preceding Monday. The Mayor or any four (4) Aldermen may call a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen by submitting a written notice of said meeting to the City Administrator at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the commencement of the proposed special meeting excluding Saturdays and Sundays and legal holidays.
B. 
The regular meeting time for the Planning Commission of the City of Riverside, Missouri, is hereby designated as the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Thursdays of each and every month at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall, Riverside, Missouri. The Chairman may call a special meeting of the Commission by submitting written notice of said meeting to the City Administrator no less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the commencement of the proposed meeting excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

If a vacancy occurs in any elective office, the Mayor or the person exercising the duties of the Mayor shall cause a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen to convene where a successor to the vacant office shall be selected. If the vacancy is in the office of Mayor, nominations of a successor may be made by any member of the Board of Aldermen and selected with the consent of a majority of the members of the Board of Aldermen. The successor shall serve until the next regular municipal election. If a vacancy occurs in any office not elective, the Mayor shall appoint a suitable person to discharge the duties of such office until the first (1st) regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen thereafter, at which time such vacancy shall be permanently filled.

A. 
There is hereby created the appointive position of Secretary to the Board of Aldermen, which said position of Secretary may or may not be filled in the sole discretion and judgment of the Board of Aldermen.
B. 
The duties of the Secretary to the Board of Aldermen shall be as follows:
1. 
Assist the City Clerk in keeping a journal of the proceedings of the Board of Aldermen (the minutes).
2. 
To attend all regular and special meetings of the Board of Aldermen unless otherwise directed by the Board of Aldermen.
3. 
To do such administrative duties as may be delegated to the position by the Board of Aldermen.
4. 
To do such other administrative and secretarial duties as may be directed to be done by the Board of Aldermen.
