A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of Laurie being marked and designated
as "The National Electrical Code (NEC) 2002" as published by the National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA), be and is hereby adopted as the
Electrical Code of the City of Laurie in the State of Missouri for
the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each
and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and
terms of said National Electrical Code are hereby referred to, adopted
and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Article.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
of the Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding
five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County
Jail for a period of not exceeding three (3) months, or both such
fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted
to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
as such hereunder.
