[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Lawrence 1-23-2006; amended in

Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3), Wis. Stats., the Town
of Lawrence is authorized to prepare and adopt a Comprehensive Plan
as defined in § 66.1001(1)(a) and (2), Wis. Stats.
The Town Board of the Town of Lawrence, Wisconsin, has adopted
written procedures designed to foster public participation in every
stage of the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan as required by § 66.1001(4)(a),
Wis. Stats.
The Town of Lawrence Planning and Zoning Board, by a unanimous
vote of the Board as recorded in its official minutes, has adopted
a resolution recommending to the Town Board the adoption of the document
titled "Town of Lawrence Smart Growth 2025" and replaced by the 2016
Town of Lawrence Comprehensive Plan Update and Parks & Outdoor
Recreation Plan, including changes and additions approved by the Lawrence
Planning and Zoning Board. The "2016 Town of Lawrence Comprehensive
Plan Update and Parks & Outdoor Recreation Plan" contains all
of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2), Wis. Stats.
The Town of Lawrence has held at least one public hearing on
this chapter in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001(4)(d),
Wis. Stats.
The Town Board of the Town of Lawrence does by enactment of
this chapter formally adopt the document titled "Town of Lawrence
Smart Growth 2025" and replaced by the 2016 Town of Lawrence Comprehensive
Plan Update and Parks & Outdoor Recreation Plan.[1]
