GENERAL REFERENCES
Civil employees pension fund — See Ch. 40, Art. II.
A civil employees' group life insurance plan, supplemental to the Civil Employees Pension Fund as established by Ordinance No. 795,[1] is hereby established and shall be known as the "Civil Employees Group Life Insurance Plan." Such plan shall be under the direction of Borough Council and applied under such regulations as it may prescribe or designate by resolution from time to time.

The Civil Employees Group Life Insurance Plan shall be maintained by annual contributions made by the Borough.

The insurer, Continental Assurance Company, is changed to North American Benefits Company or any other established institution as may be designated from time to time by Borough Council.

A. 
Civil employees who are members of the Civil Employees Pension Plan shall be covered for group life insurance in such amounts as Council may by motion at any time and from time to time determine for classes of employees, based upon a graduated scale of annual compensation, and which classes of employees Council shall determine by motion at any time and from time to time.
B. 
The amount of insurance for which civil employees age 65 years and over will be covered is 50% of the amount for which, except for their age, they would otherwise be eligible. The insurance coverage will cease at retirement.
