Village of New Haven, MI Chapter 63 Officer Accountability

§ 63-1 Definitions.

As used in this chapter, an "officer" shall have the same meaning as "officer" as same is specifically defined in the General Law Village Act, as codified and set forth at MCLA § 61.1a(e).

§ 63-2 Accountability of Village officers.

Any person who is an officer of the Village of New Haven who shall neglect or refuse to perform any duty required of him/her by the General Law Village Act, or any other Village of New Haven ordinance, rule or regulation, or who shall be in the discharge of his/her official duties guilty of any fraud, favoritism, extortion, oppression, or willful wrong or injustice, shall be subject to censure by a majority vote of the Village Council of the Village of New Haven.
