The governing body shall appoint one Municipal Tax Assessor
whose annual compensation shall be determined by the Salary Ordinance
of the Borough of Somerdale.[1]
The Municipal Tax Assessor shall hold office for a term of four
years from the first day of July next following his appointment.
Vacancies, other than due to the expiration of term, shall be
filled by appointment of the governing body for the unexpired term.
The Municipal Tax Assessor holding office on the effective date
of this article shall continue in the office until the expiration
of the term or until the successor is appointed in the manner provided
above.
