The Select Board may cause suitable signs to be posted and maintained. (1937: c. XVIII, s. 22)
No person shall break, deface, or move any official sign, signal, or traffic device, warning barrier, lantern, or other light placed or located in any street or public place for the information of travelers, the direction of traffic, or the protection of the public. (1937: c. XVIII, s. 16)
No person shall post or install, or cause to have posted or installed, a sign within the right-of-way of any public street or place without the prior approval of the Select Board. Any sign that is posted or installed within the right-of-way without the prior approval of the Select Board shall be in violation of this article.

The Select Board hereby authorizes the Town of Ipswich Building Inspector to enforce, on behalf of the Select Board, any violation of the requirements of this article as it pertains to the placement of signs.
