The Board of Education shall perform such duties and have such
powers as are or may be imposed or vested by the Connecticut General
Statutes upon boards of education in the several towns, except as
otherwise provided by this Charter. The Board may be empowered by
Charter with such other duties and powers which are not inconsistent
with the Connecticut General Statutes.
