The Mayor of the City of Greendale is authorized to appoint the City Clerk of the City of Greendale to hold the office of City Administrator of the City of Greendale and to perform the duties of the City Administrator concurrently with the duties of the City Clerk for an indefinite term. He/she shall be part-time and salaried as may be determined from time to time by the Board of Alderpersons.

Any appointee to the position of City Administrator shall have all the powers and duties as set out in Article V, Section 115.146, of the Greendale Municipal Code.

Any appointee, before entering upon the duties of his/her office, shall file with the City a bond in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) approved by the Board of Alderpersons and conditioned upon the faithful and honest performance of his/her duties and the rendering of full and proper accounts of the City for funds and property that shall come into his/her possession or control. The costs of the bond shall be paid by the City.

Any appointee to the office of the City Administrator may be removed as set out in Article 5, Section 115.145, of the Greendale Municipal Code.

Before entering upon the duties of his/her office, the City Administrator shall take and subscribe to an oath or affirmation before the Mayor of the City of Greendale, that he/she possesses all the qualifications prescribed for his/her office by law, that he/she will support the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Missouri, provisions of all laws of the United States and the State of Missouri and the ordinances of the City of Greendale and that he/she will faithfully demean him/herself while in office.
