There shall be a Department of Public Affairs and Information, the head of which shall be the Director. The Department shall include the Office of Public Information and Advisory Services and the Advisory Ratable Board.
Within the Department of Public Affairs and Information there shall be an Office of Public Information and Advisory Services, the head of which shall be the Director of the Department. The Office, within the limits of available appropriations, shall:
A. 
Provide, furnish and disseminate information and data to residents of the Township concerning transactions and public business that take place at Council meetings.
B. 
Provide, furnish and disseminate information and data to the residents of the Township with reference to functions and services of the various departments.
C. 
Coordinate, provide, furnish and disseminate to all department Directors information, data and services available with reference to federal, state and local aid programs.
D. 
Coordinate, furnish, provide and disseminate information to public and private organizations concerning the scheduling of municipal facilities for meetings and municipal services that may be available.
E. 
Preserve and record historical data of the Township and community events.
F. 
Coordinate, furnish, provide and disseminate information and data and furnish other necessary services to all advisory boards and commissions.

Within the Department of Public Affairs and Information there shall be an Advisory Ratable Board, which shall consist of no more than 10 citizens of the community. The members shall be appointed by the Mayor for staggered terms of four years, beginning with the first day of January 1970. The members shall serve without compensation. Under the supervision and direction of the Director, the Board shall, within the limits of available appropriation:
A. 
Provide, furnish and disseminate literature and other information to persons, companies, corporations, businesses and organizations, advising them of the advantages of locating and facilities located in the Township.
B. 
Coordinate and consolidate information from the various boards and departments of the Township and make it available to all persons, companies, corporations, businesses and organizations desiring to locate in the Township.
C. 
Coordinate and arrange meetings and discussions between various departments and boards and companies, corporations, businesses and organizations, as may be requested.
D. 
Assist the various departments and boards of the municipality in assembling, obtaining and furnishing information requested concerning the facilities and attributes of the Township for their use and study.
