As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BICYCLE and/or PEDALCYCLE
A vehicle propelled solely by human-powered pedals.
PARK
Includes a park, reservation, playground, community center or any other recreational center or any other area in the Township owned or used by the Township and devoted to active or passive recreation.
VEHICLE
Includes any wheeled conveyance, whether motor-powered, animal drawn or self-propelled, except baby carriages, bicycles or vehicles in the service of the Township. Vehicle also includes any trailer in tow of any size, kind or description, any motor vehicle, motorcycle, motor-driven cycle, motorized pedalcycle, etc.

The provisions of this chapter shall apply to parks as defined herein.
The parks shall be opened to the residents of the Township every day of the year from dawn until dusk, except for those areas and buildings specifically lighted for nighttime athletics and other recreational purposes. The lighted areas and buildings may remain open until 10:00 p.m. on the evenings when they are designated for use by the Township Committee.
Any section or part of any park or recreational area may be declared closed to the public by the Township Committee at any time and for any interval of time, either temporarily or at regular and stated intervals, daily or otherwise, and limited entirely or partially to certain uses as the Township shall find reasonably necessary.
A. 
The Township Committee or its duly authorized employees shall, in connection with its duties imposed by law, diligently enforce the provisions of this chapter.
B. 
The Township Committee and other duly authorized employees shall have the authority to eject from the park any person acting in violation of this chapter.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
