1. 
The Township hereby elects to administer and enforce the provisions of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act, 35 P.S. § 7201.101 et seq., as amended from time to time, and its regulations promulgated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry or any other duly authorized agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Uniform Construction Code, contained within 34 Pa.Code, Chapters 401 — 405, as amended from time to time, is hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference as the Township Building Code (See 34 Pa. Code § 401.1 definitions: "Uniform Construction Code — this chapter, the International Building Code, First Printing 2006, and the International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings, First Printing 2006, available from the International Code Council, Inc., 4051 West Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills, Illinois 60478-5795. 1-800-786-4452; and any standards adopted by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry in this chapter under § 301 of the Act (35 P.S. § 7210.301)."]

The Board of Supervisors hereby specifically rejects the adoption of the International Property Maintenance Code and said code shall not be enforced in the Township.
4. 
Administration and enforcement of the code within the Township shall be undertaken in accordance with Ordinance No. 2003-2 adopted April 8, 2003, which provides for as follows:
A. 
The designation of an employee of the Township to serve as the Township Code Official to act on behalf of the Township: and by the retention of the Township Code Official and/or third party agencies to act on behalf of the Township.
5. 
A Board of Appeals has been established by Ord. 2003-2 (§ 112 et seq.), in conformity with the requirements of the relevant provisions of the code, as amended from time to time, and for the purposes set forth therein.
6. 
All building code ordinances and specifically Ord. 2003-2 adopted April 8, 2003, which are in effect as of the effective date of this Part and whose requirements are less than the minimum requirements of the code, as amended from time to time, are hereby amended to conform with the comparable provisions of the code.
7. 
All relevant ordinances, regulations and policies of the Township not governed by the code shall remain in full force and effect.
8. 
Fees assessable by the Township for administration and enforcement undertaken pursuant to this Part and the code shall be established by the Board of Supervisors by resolution, from time to time.
9. 
The provisions of Act 537, Sewage Facilities Act, 35 P.S. § 750.1 et seq., and the regulations promulgated there under together with the provisions of the Township Sewer Ordinances [Chapter 18], as amended, shall apply to the design, permitting, construction, installation, repair, maintenance, removal, abandonment and ownership of on-lot sewage facilities or other facilities. The provisions of this code to the extent inconsistent therewith are hereby repealed and deleted.
