A. 
From October 1 to May 1, the minimum heat requirements for all residential rental properties shall be 68° F. from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and 65° F. from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
B. 
Each building constituting a multiple dwelling as herein defined shall be served by a hot water distribution system capable of operating even when the heating system itself is not in operation and of providing all units of dwelling space and facilities therein requiring hot water with water at the outlets at a minimum temperature of 120° F. and a maximum temperature of 140° F. between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight in accordance with anticipated need for the permissible number of occupants in any such dwelling.
This article may be enforced by the Township Board of Health personnel, Township Construction and Code Enforcement Personnel and the Maplewood Police Department personnel.
A. 
Any person or organization violating this article, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of:
(1) 
First offense: $250.
(2) 
Second offense: $500.
(3) 
Third offense or subsequent offense: $1,000.
B. 
A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day a violation occurs.
Ordinances or parts of ordinances, including but not limited to the International Property Maintenance Code, inconsistent with the provisions of this article be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistencies.
