The noise control requirements established by this chapter shall
be administered and enforced jointly by Town Code Enforcement Officers,
any police officer as defined by New York State Criminal Procedure
Law, and such other employees and/or officials authorized by the Town
Board. An alleged violation of the provisions of this chapter may
be established upon the verbal or written complaint of at least one
person or as personally observed by such Town Code Enforcement Officers,
any police officer as defined by New York State Criminal Procedure
Law, or such other employees and/or officials authorized by the Town
Board. Town Code Enforcement Officers, any police officer as defined
by New York State Criminal Procedure Law, or such other employees
and/or officials authorized by the Town Board may issue an order requiring
abatement of any source of sound alleged to be in violation of this
chapter. Such abatement must be made within a reasonable time period
and according to the conditions prescribed by the officer. Violation
of any provision of this chapter or of an abatement order shall be
cause for a summons to be issued.
