A. 
It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of seventeen (17) years to loiter, idle, wander, stroll or to drive or ride in an automobile, or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, wharves, docks, or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places, between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. of the following day, except on Fridays and Saturdays when the hours shall be 12:00 Midnight to 6:00 A.M. of the following day, provided however, that the provisions of this Section do not apply to a minor, accompanied by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of a minor under the age of seventeen (17) years to knowingly permit such minor to loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, wharves, docks, or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places, between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. of the following day; provided however, that the provisions of this Section do not apply when the minor is accompanied by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor. Each violation of the provisions of this Section shall constitute a separate offense.
C. 
Any Police Officer finding a child violating the provisions of Subsection (A), of this Section shall warn the child to desist immediately from such violation and take the child home to his/her parent or guardian. If said parent or guardian cannot be located, he/she shall retain custody until the parent or guardian is located and the child delivered to him/her. The officer shall also report the violation to his/her superior officer who shall cause a written notice to be served on the parent, guardian or person in charge of said child, setting forth the manner in which the Section has been violated. Any parent, guardian or person in charge of such child who shall knowingly permit such child again to violate the provisions of said Subsection (A) of this Section, after receiving notice of the first violation, shall be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).
