The Township Manager may, if he/she deems it advisable, submit
to the Council his/her recommendations for the appointment of a Chaplain
or Chaplains of Police for a period not exceeding three years. A Chaplain
shall receive no compensation.
Chaplain of Police shall visit the sick, injured and dying and
administer to the spiritual welfare of the members of the Department.
He/she shall be authorized to visit all department offices and to
converse with any member of the department. A Chaplain shall be treated
by members of the department with the courtesy and respect due to
his/her calling.
