1. 
Pursuant to Section 507 of the 2015 International Fire Code and the National Fire Protection (NFPA) NFPA 24, Installation of Private Fire Service Mains and their Appurtenances, and Chapter 7 of NFPA 25, Inspection and Testing of Private Hydrants, all owners of private fire hydrants located in the Township of Ross must provide to the Township Fire Marshal proof of inspection of the fire hydrant(s) and that said hydrant(s) are in proper working order and will operate as designed for fire suppression.
2. 
Proof of inspection and that the fire hydrant is operable, as designed for fire suppression, must be submitted to the Ross Township Fire Marshal yearly and the fee, as adopted in the most current Township Fee Schedule, provided upon submission.
3. 
Failure to provide proof of the yearly inspection report or repair any deficiencies shall be subject to penalties as follows:
A. 
Upon the issuance of a summary citation or the commencement of a summary proceeding by the Township Code Enforcement Officer and/or Fire Marshal, the owner of the fire hydrant(s) shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $1,000 for each day the report and/or repairs are not provided/repaired as required.
B. 
No penalty contained herein shall prevent the Township from enforcing this Part by equitable, injunctive, or other legal remedies.
