The purpose of the public school zone is to provide for the
placement of public school facilities that will contribute to the
wellbeing of our community by integrating the various functions of
education with the proper siting criteria. The intent of the public
school zone is to provide support for public educational activities
within the community.
The following principal uses are permitted within a single building or group of buildings provided that site development plan approval has been granted in accordance with Article
X hereof uses that are not listed shall not be permitted by variance.
(a)
Schools operated by the Town.
(b)
Parks and playgrounds operated by the Town.
(c)
Municipal shop operated by the Town.
Article
VII, Area, Height and Yard Requirements and all other applicable sections of these regulations apply and in addition:
All lot boundaries which are adjacent to a residential zone
or an existing single-family dwelling shall maintain a twenty-five-foot
buffer along any such boundary.
The general provisions of the sign regulations, Sections
595-8.01.100 and
595-8.01.200 shall apply to all uses in the public school zone.
Article
VIII, Sections 3 and 4, and all applicable sections of these regulations shall apply and in addition:
No parking space shall be permitted within 20 feet of any street
line or property line.
Article
VIII, Supplemental Regulations, including, but not limited to, signs, access management, parking, landscaping, lighting and all other applicable sections of these regulations apply.
