It shall be unlawful for any person for commercial purposes to throw, cast or distribute in or upon any street, avenue, highway, sidewalk or public place in the Village or from any vehicle thereon any handbills, circulars, cards or other advertising matter whatsoever.
It shall be unlawful for any person to post any handbills, notices or advertisements of any kind whatsoever or print, paint, stamp or otherwise mark any words, letters, figures, signs or tokens of any sort or kind on any flagstone, curbstone, sidewalk, telegraph, telephone or electric light pole, shade tree or fence or any property of the Village.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days, or both.
