It shall be unlawful within the Village of Oxford for any person, during the hours of darkness, to be on private or public property without a legitimate or lawful purpose.
Being a parent, guardian or other person legally charged with the care or custody of a child less than sixteen (16) years old, he fails or refuses to exercise reasonable diligence in the control of such child to prevent him from lurking at night shall also be guilty by endangering the welfare of said child.
Any person found guilty of a violation of this chapter shall be subject to a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.) and imprisonment for a term not to exceed fifteen (15) days, or both.
