[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Brentwood 11-16-2004 by Ord. No. 1142. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The position of Borough Manager is hereby created and is subject to the following provisions:
A. 
The Manager shall be appointed for an indefinite time by a majority of all members of Council.
B. 
Council shall fix the compensation and employment benefits of the Borough Manager.
C. 
Council shall set the qualifications, duties and terms of employment for the Borough Manager in any manner which Council sees fit. The initial qualifications and duties of the Borough Manager are to be set forth in a job description created by Borough Council and attached hereto, made a part hereof and marked as Exhibit A.[1]

D. 
The Mayor is hereby authorized to delegate to the Borough Manager, subject to revocation by written notification at any time, any of his/her nonlegislative and nonjudicial powers and duties.
The Borough Manager shall provide to the Borough a fidelity bond on an annual basis. The Bond shall be in the amount of $250,000 and the premium therefor shall be paid by the Borough.
