This Board hereby finds, decides and determines
upon the evidence given at said hearing that it is in the public interest
to grant in whole the relief sought.[1]

Editor's Note: At a public hearing held 4-9-1937
the Town Board considered a petition, duly signed and acknowledged
by resident taxpayers owning taxable real property aggregating more
than 1/2 of the assessed valuation of all the taxable real property
of the Town of Monroe outside of the incorporated Villages of Monroe
and Harriman, requesting the establishment of a fire protection district
within said territory.
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Town Law of the
State of New York, there is hereby established a fire protection district
within the Town of Monroe, to be contained in and embrace all real
property situate in said Town of Monroe outside of the incorporated
Villages of Monroe and Harriman.
This Board finds, decides and determines, and
hereby certifies, that all the property, property owners and interested
persons within said proposed fire protection district are benefited
thereby and that all property and property owners so benefited are
included therein.[1]

This Board shall contract with the Village of
Monroe for furnishing fire protection within such fire protection
district after a public hearing to be held at the office of Charles
K. Brooks, Town Clerk, 19 Lake Street, Monroe, New York, on the 28th
day of May 1937, at 8:00 p.m., and notice of such hearing shall be
published in the Monroe Gazette on the thirteenth day of May, 1937,
which shall describe in general terms the proposed contract as required
by law.
