No person shall park or stop a motor vehicle in or in any other manner obstruct a properly designated fire lane.
A. 
Fire lane regulations shall be concurrently enforced by the Haddon Heights Police Department and the Haddon Heights Fire Official and Fire Inspectors. Violations of the fire lane regulations shall be considered Borough ordinance violations, as well as violations of the Uniform Fire Code, N.J.A.C. 5:70-3.1 et seq.
B. 
Enforcement by the Police Department shall be handled as a Borough ordinance violation or as a Uniform Fire Code violation. Enforcement by the Haddon Heights Fire Official and Fire Inspectors shall be pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:27D-210 which provides for penalties under the Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999, N.J.S.A. 2A:58-10 et seq., for violations of the Uniform Fire Code.

Unless another penalty is expressly provided for by New Jersey statutes, each and every person violating the provisions of this chapter with regard to stopping, parking or obstructing a properly designated fire lane shall, upon conviction, be subjected to a maximum penalty of a fine not exceeding $2,000 or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days or by a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or any combination thereof, plus costs, for each separate violation, which shall be enforced jointly by the Haddon Heights Police Department and the Haddon Heights Fire Inspector's Office. In addition, the Haddon Heights Police Department shall have the authority to cause said vehicle found in violation to be towed and stored at the expense of the vehicle's owner.
