There is hereby established a license procedure to permit a farmers' market. Each farmer who operates in the market shall be required to obtain a license from the Village department designated by the Village Manager. The license shall be entitled "Seasonal Agricultural Market License."
The Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to establish rules and regulations for the operation and conduct of the farmers' market. Each licensee shall be required to comply with the rules and regulations established by the Village Manager. Additionally, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to establish rules and regulations for the operation and conduct of all persons on site, including the sponsors and participants who are not licensees under this chapter.
In the event that an operator is determined by the Village Manager to have violated any of the terms and conditions of the license or the rules and regulations established by the Village Manager, the Manager shall have the authority to revoke or suspend the license.
Each applicant for a license shall complete an application form to be prepared by the Village Manager. The license shall be valid only for the balance of the calendar year in which it is issued. No license shall be transferable or assignable.
Each operator shall comply with all health and safety regulations and laws and each operator's area of operation shall be subject, at all times, to inspection by proper Village officials, including health, fire and safety.
