No person shall remove, or cause or permit to be removed, or aid or assist in removing, any building or structure into, along or across any street or public place without permission of the Commissioner of Public Works. The fee for such permit shall be as set forth in Chapter 133, Fees.

The Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to grant permits for moving buildings through and across public highways, taking in each case a bond in the minimum amount of $20,000 and a cash deposit or check in the amount of $2,500 to secure the City against loss or damage incident to said moving.
The applicant for a permit to move a building across a street where there are car tracks or overhead wire construction must obtain and file with the application the consent of the company affected.

An offense against the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
