The Town of Killingworth, being within the Connecticut River Estuary Planning Region as defined by the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, hereby adopts the provisions of §§ 8-31a to 8-37a, inclusive, of the Connecticut General Statutes, Revision of 1958, as amended, and elects to participate in the Connecticut River Estuary Planning Agency, now or hence forth existing, under Chapter 127 of the Connecticut General Statutes, Revision of 1958, as amended.
The Town of Killingworth, having a population of 1,900 according to the State Department of Health census of 1969, shall have two representatives, one to be appointed by the Killingworth Planning and Zoning Commission, the other to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Appointees shall serve for terms of two years and until their successors shall have been appointed. Terms of office shall commence when the appointments are made or from the first organizational meeting of the Agency, whichever is later.
If a representative should resign, or die, or be unable to serve, or if he/she is removed from membership, the body which appointed that member shall fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.
