7-25-1995. (This ordinance was originally adopted as Ch. 25 and was renumbered
as Ch. 11 to fit the alphabetical sequence of the Code.) Amendments noted

GENERAL REFERENCES
Land use procedures — See Ch. 15.
There is hereby established the Economic Development Advisory Commission
of the township.
Said Commission shall consist of the Mayor and one other member of the
Township Committee, who shall serve during their terms on the Township Committee,
together with not fewer than three nor more than five additional members who
shall be appointed by the Township Committee and serve at the pleasure of
the Township Committee.
The members of the Economic Development Advisory Commission shall choose
annually from among its members a Chairman or President and such other officers
as they may deem necessary.
A.Â
The Economic Development Advisory Commission shall have
the following powers and duties:
(1)Â
To inquire into, survey and publicize the extent, advantages
and utility of vacant land in the township which is zoned for commercial or
industrial purposes.
(2)Â
To recommend to the Township Committee the methods of
advertising the advantages and opportunities and availability of real estate
in the township for commercial and industrial development.
(3)Â
To investigate the availability of state or federal grants
which may be available for general community development and particularly
for development of commercial and industrial enterprises within the township.
(4)Â
To make such additional studies as may be desirable and
necessary to attract commercial or industrial ratables to the township and
to perform such other functions as may be directed from time to time by the
Township Committee.
B.Â
The Economic Development Advisory Commission herein established
shall not be or be deemed to be an Environmental Commission pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40:55B-1 et seq. and shall not have the powers and authority vested in such
a statutory commission other than those enumerated in this section.
The Economic Development Advisory Commission shall meet at least quarterly
and at the call of the Chairman. Meetings shall be open to the public.
