A. 
Dismissal, demotion, fines and suspension. A permanent employee of the Police or Fire Department may be dismissed, demoted, fined or suspended as provided in the Town Charter.[1]

B. 
Appeal action. Appeal by any permanent employee of the Police or Fire Department from all disciplinary action shall conform with the procedure as set forth in the Town Charter.[2]

The Town Manager shall have the power and duty to remove any department heads or subordinate officers or employees with respect to whom they have the power of appointment and to delegate to any department heads the power of removing their subordinate officers and employees, except as otherwise specifically provided by Town Charter or law.
