§ 139-37 Penalties for offenses.

[Amended 12-12-81 by L.L. No. 15-1981]

Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalties set forth in Chapter 1, General Provisions, § 1-14.

§ 139-38 Notice of violation.

Instead of immediately commencing a formal court proceeding against an alleged offender, the Superintendent, or his agents or employees of the Incorporated Village of Ocean Beach, may cause to be served or mailed a notice of violation to such person, stating the nature of the alleged violation and a reasonable time to comply. If compliance is effected during the time therefor, no further charges on such violation shall be brought.

§ 139-39 Liability.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be liable to the village for any loss, expense or damage occasioned by the village by reason of such violation.
