[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Thomaston 7-14-1980 by L.L. No. 19-1980 as Ch. 33 of the 1980 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
It shall be unlawful for any owner, lessee or occupant of any real property in the Incorporated Village of Thomaston to:
A. 
Install, maintain or use or cause, allow or permit another or others to install, maintain or use upon said real property an audible burglar, fire or other type of alarm or signal that is not provided with a device which will automatically shut off such alarm or signal after twenty (20) minutes of continuous or intermittent sound audible beyond the boundaries of such real property.
B. 
Cause, allow or permit any such audible alarm or signal to emit continuous or intermittent sound audible beyond the boundaries of such real property for a continuous period of more than twenty (20) minutes, whether or not said alarm or signal has been equipped with the above-required automatic shutoff device.
Any person, firm or corporation committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in the general penalty provisions contained in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, of this Code.
