[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Columbia 2-26-1979 by Ord. No. 553 (Ch. 9A of the 1971 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Borough Council shall, by resolution, appoint an independent auditor who shall be a certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or a competent public accountant or a competent firm of public accountants.[1]

The auditor appointed pursuant to this chapter shall make an independent examination of the accounting records of the Borough for each fiscal year and perform all other duties and exercise all other powers as authorized by the Borough Code, Act of February 1, 1966, P.L. (1965) ............, No. 581.[1]
