In accordance with § 10 of the Municipal
Home Rule Law of the State of New York, the Town of East Fishkill
has the authority to enact local laws and amend local laws and for
the purpose of promoting the health, safety or general welfare of
the Town and for the protection and enhancement of its physical environment.
The local Town Board may include in any such local law provisions
for the appointment of any municipal officer, employees, or independent
contractor to effectuate, administer and enforce such local law.
A.
These regulations are enacted with the intent of providing
stormwater and erosion and sediment control within the Town of East
Fishkill.
B.
It is the intent of this chapter to promote the public
purposes identified in this section by providing for the protection,
preservation, proper maintenance of stormwater facilities by preventing
or minimizing erosion due to flooding and stormwater runoff.
