No person shall place any signs, advertisements, cards, posters or anything of like character upon any of the electric light standards in the city. However, nothing shall be construed to prohibit the placing upon such standards of any decorations for the purpose of beautifying streets during any civic parades or conventions, if the decorations meet with Council approval.
Whoever violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $50 nor more than $600 and, in default of the payment thereof, shall be imprisoned for not more than 30 days.
