A.
The City Engineer shall have charge of the numbering
of buildings fronting upon any street and shall prepare plans for and keep
a record of such numbering.
B.
Upon application by the owner or occupant of any building,
the City Engineer shall furnish suitable numbers in accordance with such plans,
and the person making such application shall cause such numbers to be properly
affixed to such building.
Whenever the owner or occupant of any building is desirous of affixing
to such building any number not of the style furnished by the city he or she
may do so, provided that such number shall be the correct number as designated
by the plan of the City Engineer.
All numbers, whether furnished by the city or by the owner or occupant
of any building, shall be at least two (2) inches high and shall be placed
in a location which may be plainly seen from the street.
When so directed by the City Council, the City Engineer shall cause
any street to be renumbered, and the expense for any such renumbering shall
be paid from from the city treasury.

The owner of each building, house or structure within the boundaries
of the City of Pawtucket shall have affixed thereto the proper number.
