[HISTORY: Adopted by the Common Council (now Board of Commissioners) of the City of Ventnor City 2-19-1908 by Ord. No. 55-1908. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There shall be established in Ventnor City a Board of Health, organized in accordance with the provisions of the Act of the Legislature of the State of New Jersey entitled "An Act to Establish in This State Boards of Health and Bureaus of Vital Statistics and to Define Their Respective Powers and Charters," approved March 31, 1887, and the several supplements thereto. Said Board shall have all the powers therein mentioned and perform the duties therein prescribed.

Said Board of Health shall be comprised of seven members, which members shall serve for a term of four years. Appointment shall be made by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Commissioners. Appointments to fill vacancies shall be made by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Commissioners, as occasion shall require and for the completion of the unexpired term.
The members said Board of Health shall take and hold their offices subject to removal by cause by the Board of Commissioners in the same manner as other City officers may be removed.
