This article shall be known as the "Change in Term for New Appointees and Reappointments as Members of the Town of Milo Zoning Board of Appeals."
The Town Board has adopted this article under the authority of § 267 of the New York Town Law and § 10(1)(ii)(a)(1) of the New York Municipal Home Rule Law.
It is the intent of the Town Board to supersede the provisions of Subdivisions 4 and 5 of New York State Town Law § 267 with respect to the terms of office for new appointees and reappointments of members to the Town of Milo Zoning Board of Appeals.
All new appointees and reappointments to the Town of Milo Zoning Board of Appeals shall be appointed for a term of three years. Members now in office shall continue to serve until expiration of their respective present terms.
