[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Ossining 10-12-1976
as L.L. No. 8-1976. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby established the position of Administrative Assistant
to the Supervisor of the Town of Ossining. Such Administrative Assistant to
the Supervisor shall be appointed by and shall serve at the pleasure of the
Supervisor of the Town of Ossining.
The Administrative Assistant to the Supervisor shall assist the Supervisor
in the performance of his duties as chief fiscal officer of the Town of Ossining,
especially in regard to the preparation of tentative and final budgets, and
shall perform such other and further duties as are assigned to him from time
to time by the Supervisor.
The annual compensation of the Administrative Assistant to the Supervisor
shall be established by the Town Board of the Town of Ossining, and an appropriate
amount shall be set aside in the town budget for such purpose.
It is the intent of this chapter that the position of Administrative
Assistant to the Supervisor hereby established shall be one of employment
and that the Administrative Assistant to the Supervisor shall not be a "public
officer" within the meaning of § 3 of the Public Officers Law of
the State of New York.
