As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Every device propelled by human power upon which any person may ride,
having two (2) tandem wheels, either of which is more than twenty (20) inches
in diameter.
A single platform which is mounted on wheels, having no mechanism
or other device with which to steer or control the direction of movement thereof
while being used, operated or ridden.
It shall be unlawful for any person to ride or park a bicycle or ride
a skateboard or in-line skates upon any sidewalk in the Borough of Mount Oliver.

The bicycle, skateboard or in-line skates of any violator may be impounded by the borough police, to be returned upon payment of the penalty set forth in § 71-4 or upon a finding of innocence.
B.Â
If the violator is a minor, the parent or guardian shall
be notified that he or she is to pick up the bicycle, skateboard or in-line
skates so held by the borough police.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall,
upon conviction thereof before the District Justice, be sentenced to pay a
fine of not more than six hundred dollars ($600.) and costs of prosecution
and, in default of payment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding thirty
(30) days.
