This article shall be known and designated as the "Fire Prevention Code of the Borough of Mount Oliver."
The Council of the Borough of Mount Oliver hereby adopts the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code (Eighth Edition, 1990), and any amendments thereto or future editions thereof, as fully and completely as though said Fire Prevention Code were set forth herein at length, except and unless otherwise provided to the contrary in the statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the rules and regulations of the County of Allegheny and in any provisions of this chapter. Copies of the Fire Prevention Code may be examined during regular business hours at the office of the Borough Secretary of the Borough of Mount Oliver at 150 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15210.
The following sections of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, 1990 Edition as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc. (BOCA), are hereby revised by the following additions, deletions, changes and amendments (section numbers and article numbers refer to the corresponding sections and articles in the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code):

In Section F-100.1, insert "Borough of Mount Oliver" in place of "name of Jurisdiction."

Any person, firm or corporation who or which violates any of the provisions of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code (1990 Edition, as may be amended from time to time) shall, upon conviction, be punishable by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.), plus costs of prosecution, for each offense and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days.
