The use of the public facilities at any Town park, beach or recreational area is on a first-come-first-served basis, except where facilities are controlled by special regulations. The use of any area for group picnics or gatherings, and the use of said areas after normal hours and contrary to any of the rules or regulations of this chapter shall be by permit secured from the Director of Parks and Recreation.
No person shall remove, destroy, deface, or otherwise injure in any manner whatsoever any structure, building, natural resources including rocks, soil, trees, flowers, shrubs, ferns, or plants within the recreation area. Wildlife, snakes, birds, and their nests shall not be molested or water areas disturbed any time.
All garbage, trash, refuse, and paper shall be placed in containers provided for that use. Use of refuse containers for disposal of household or business waste is prohibited.
Picnicking shall be limited to such places as designed by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Lighting of fires is prohibited except in the grills and fireplaces provided or other specifically designated areas.
Camping is allowed by special permit only secured from the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department.
Hunting or carrying firearms or bow and arrows in any park, beach or facility is prohibited.
Disorderly conduct, excessive noise, intoxication and obscene or indecent behavior is prohibited in any park, beach or recreational area.

The possession or drinking of alcoholic beverages is prohibited except in designated areas and with a permit from the Parks and Recreation Department.
Gambling in any park, beach or recreation facility is prohibited.
Motor vehicles may be used only in designated areas. Posted speed limits must be obeyed. Parking or the stopping of any vehicle shall be limited to hours and place as are designated by signs posted by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Recreation vehicles including snowmobiles, minibikes, go-carts, unregistered motorcycles, and all terrain vehicles are prohibited from all parks, beaches, or recreational facilities.
No signs or notices shall be posted at any park, beach, or recreational facility unless authorized by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Dogs and pets must be on a leash at all times when in a parks and recreation area. Horses and ponies are prohibited from all Parks and Recreation Department areas, except on established and designated bridle paths.
The Park and Recreation Commission shall not be responsible for loss or theft of any article or equipment.
The use of fireworks in any form is prohibited unless the proper Town permit is obtained via the Parks and Recreation Director.
The sale of food or any other item is prohibited except by special permit from the Parks and Recreation Department.

Any person or persons violating any of said rules and regulations shall be subject to arrest and a fine not to exceed $100 for each violation of any rule or regulation so adopted and posted.
