Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes, Section 7-19, the Town Clerk
may appoint not more than five Assistant Town Clerks, who, having been approved
by one of the Selectmen and having taken the oath provided for Town Clerks,
shall, in the absence or inability of the Town Clerk, have all his powers
and perform all his duties.
