There shall be elected at each biennial election to be held in the Town of Branford, in addition to the other officers, three members of the Board of Education. Each political party shall nominate two candidates, and the three receiving the highest number of votes shall be elected for a term of six years from the date of their election, pursuant to Section 9-206 of the General Statutes of Connecticut, Revision of 1958.

The registrars of voters shall designate the party affiliation, if any, of each elector on the registry list with the name of such elector.
The separate list of persons making application for enrollment according to declared political preference of such electors is hereby discontinued.
