The Town establishes and shall elect a five-man Parks and Recreation
Commission, as authorized by MGL c. 45, §§ 2 and 14. Said Board
shall acquire and maintain land and facilities for park and recreation purposes
and conduct and promote recreation, physical education and similar activities.
Said Board shall be first elected in the Town Election of 1969, when two Park
Commissioners are to be elected for a term of one year, two for a term of
two years, and one for a term of three years with all subsequent terms to
be for three years.
